Making a difference
Children/Wider Opportunites
At Field View, we are committed to providing our pupils with a holistic education that not only focuses on academic success, but also personal development. Our vision is to make a difference, and our values of honesty, perseverance, and respect underpin everything that we do.
We believe that schools should provide opportunities for children to develop their personal qualities and attributes, such as resilience, confidence, and empathy. That’s why we offer a range of enrichment activities that help our pupils build these essential skills. From nursery through to year six, we provide opportunities for our pupils to explore, learn, and grow.
Our enrichment opportunities include visits to the WILD Zoo, the Botanical Gardens, and the Santa safari park, which provide our pupils with exciting opportunities to learn about the world around them. We also offer overnight stays at Kingswood, where children can build upon teamwork, meet animals, and have bespoke educational activities. Our Year 3 pupils get the chance to visit the seaside in Weston Super Mare, and our Year 5 pupils enjoy a fun-filled trip to the Pantomime.
We are also committed to providing opportunities for our pupils to develop their leadership skills and contribute to the school community. Our prefects, science ambassadors, school council, and digital ambassadors play crucial roles in promoting positive behaviour and attitudes – helping to create a positive and respectful school environment.
At Field View School, we are committed to promoting our pupils’ mental health and wellbeing, recognising that this is essential for their personal development. To this end, we offer access to appropriate support and resources. We strive to cultivate character traits such as resilience, self-discipline, and perseverance, which are essential for fostering success in life beyond school.
We are proud to provide our pupils with a range of enrichment opportunities that support our children’s personal development.
