Year 4 at Field View

Children have a wide range of exciting opportunities to look forward to in Year 4. Children will apply their prior knowledge to a range of challenging new scenarios and deepen their understanding across the curriculum. Children will travel back in time by exploring the Ancient Egyptians, where they will have the chance to mummify ne of their classmates! They will also become software developers and bloggers in computing lessons and take a road trip along Route 66 as they study The Americans in geography. There is also a statutory assessment that takes place in the summer term of Year 4. During the month of June, your child will complete a multiplication times table check, where they will be expected to answer questions (up to 12 x 12) within 6 seconds per question. Throughout the year, we will prepare them for this assessment and support them to achieve the best outcome they possibly can. In Year 4, children have the opportunity to experience a two night residential visit where they take part in a range of team building activities. Children also have a weekly Ukulele lesson with a teacher from Wolverhampton Music Service and a weekly swimming lesson.
